The Tassel Set

The Tassel Set is two pieces of blue hand-crochet, a neck-holder top and a tube skirt, hung with hundreds of tassels, every one thrifted and finished by hand. The blue is the water and the sky; the tassels are every other colour the garden gives, gathered from leftover yarn and given a second life. They are at their best in the last hour of light, when the whole palette is in the garden and the sky at once.

Materials: 100% cotton base (OEKO-TEX certified yarn); thrifted tassels, finished by hand (upcycled)

Technique: Hand-crocheted neck-holder top and tube skirt, loaded with thrifted yarn tassels

Production time: ~120 hours of detailed handwork
