Materials & Sourcing: Conscious Choices
Our commitment begins at the source, driven by conscious choices to minimize our environmental impact. We exclusively utilize deadstock fabrics made from natural fibers, deliberately narrowing our selection to ensure quality and traceability. Crucially, our label has never produced a garment using synthetic fibers, which is a major differentiator in the industry. Furthermore, we diligently save all production scraps for future creative projects and potential social contributions.
Craftsmanship & Lifecycle: Time as Material
We treat time as a material itself, investing in design ideas and construction techniques that intentionally slows us down. Our hybrid Made-to-Order model fundamentally avoids overproduction and waste. This deliberate pace is reflected in our limited calendar: we release only two core collections per fiscal year, allowing every design element to earn its place and creating pieces with unique character, from upcycled vintage doilies to coats crafted from heritage family carpets.
Production & Responsibility: Fewer Pieces, Stronger Signatures
Creating fewer pieces builds stronger signatures and guides our ethical production strategy. We maintain oversight by partnering exclusively with paid local partners within Germany, and always prioritize hiring local seamstresses in Berlin first. To ensure our practices are constantly evolving, our small team curates a weekly report from top industry voices, guiding our practical decisions and ethical discussions moving forward. We also actively exclude all one-time plastics from our photoshoots and creative projects.
Wearer Connection & Care: Wear Grows Worth
We believe that wear grows worth, fostering a deeper emotional connection between the wearer and the garment. We empower this longevity by crafting individualized care labels for each garment, detailing both procedure and recommended execution. Our dedication extends to the media world; while loaning garments to stylists, we always suggest in-person pick-up from our atelier first, or prioritize sustainable shipping options like DHL Green Go.
