Conscious Choices — Materials & Sourcing
Every garment is made from natural fibers: OEKO-TEX certified cotton, Sheep Merino Wool, Wensleydale Wool, silk, and linen. All sourced from EU suppliers. No synthetic fiber has ever entered our production. Deadstock and vintage materials are actively preferred — our collections feature upcycled vintage goat-fur, inherited family textiles, and reclaimed chandelier crystals. All production scraps are stored and reintegrated into future work.
Time as Material — Craftsmanship & Lifecycle
A single garment takes between 20 and 400 hours of handwork. Two collections per year, each developed over months. Every made-to-order client receives a personal onboarding call where care guidance and our repair guarantee are explained. Handcrafted garments cannot be machine-washed, so we take back any piece that needs care. Marie-Louise personally repairs every garment. If a piece is beyond saving, the materials are reclaimed. This builds a direct relationship with each owner and keeps every garment in use for as long as possible.
Fewer Pieces, Stronger Signatures — Production
Made-to-order production eliminates overproduction by design. Our total output in 2025 was 33 pieces. Nothing is created without a commission or collection purpose. Samples and runway pieces enter our rental archive, available to stylists and clients through a formal rental service. All production takes place in our Berlin atelier with paid local partners. Single-use plastics are excluded from production, photoshoots, and showcases.
Wear Grows Worth — Consumer & Circularity
Value increases through use, care, and time. Production hours, materials, and techniques are published for every piece. Garments ship in reusable cotton garment bags with no single-use plastic. Rentals are transported and returned in the same packaging. The rental service, repair guarantee, and material reclamation ensure every garment lives beyond the first wearer.
