Terms of service

These terms apply to every purchase in the online shop of Marie-Louise Müller UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Eitelstr. 9, 10317 Berlin, Germany (Amtsgericht Charlottenburg, HRB 275416, VAT ID DE460106859), reached at contact@marielouisemueller.com. They are written for private customers.

1. The contract

The pieces shown in the shop are an invitation to order, not a binding offer. Your order becomes binding when you press the final order button at checkout. We accept it by sending the order confirmation by email, at the latest by dispatching the piece. The contract is kept in English, with a German version at /de; the German text applies where the two differ. We store the text of your order and send it to you with the confirmation.

2. Prices, shipping and payment

All prices include German VAT. Shipping costs €11.99 per order and is shown before you pay. Everything ships from our atelier in Berlin, tracked and insured, within 3 to 5 working days of your order; The Pleated Bomber within 5 working days. You pay with one of the methods offered at checkout. A piece stays our property until it is paid in full.

3. Right of withdrawal and returns

You can return anything you buy in the shop within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason. The full legal text and the model form are in our refund policy. The right of withdrawal does not apply to a piece made to your measurements or to your specification, such as a commission.

4. Commissions

A commissioned piece is agreed separately in writing: the piece, the measurements, the price, the deposit and the date. Those written terms apply to the commission alongside these terms.

5. Loans and rental

Pieces lent to productions, stylists and private clients are governed by the rental terms at rental.marielouisemueller.com, not by these terms.

6. Faults, warranty and lifetime repair

Your statutory warranty rights apply in full. If a piece is faulty or not as described, write to us and we put it right. Beyond that, every piece carries a lifetime repair promise: write to us and, in dialogue with the atelier, we care for and repair your piece for its lifetime. Normal wear, alterations and damage from handling against the care instructions are repaired at cost.

7. Liability

We are liable without limit for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, and under product liability law. For simple negligence we are liable only for the breach of an essential contractual duty, limited to the damage typical for this kind of contract and foreseeable at the time of the order.

8. Applicable law and disputes

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you usually live remain in force. We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (§ 36 VSBG).
