DER BERLINER SALON
For the third time, Marie-Louise Müller was invited to present within the curated framework of Der Berliner Salon during Berlin Fashion Week. Set against the crimson walls and Old Master paintings of the Gemäldegalerie, the exhibition created a quiet but powerful dialogue between historic art and contemporary radical craftsmanship.
We presented two key looks from the new collection, Frost Fables—a concise edit of seven looks presented as capsule moral conclusions in line with slow fashion core values.
The installation centered on the Goat Dress, a full-length silhouette in white ÖKOTEX certified cotton that demanded 360 hours of traditional filet crochet to achieve its intricate openwork structure. Beside it stood the Ruffle Coat, a 400-hour commitment to dimensional texture in natural beige Sheep Merino Wool. Together, these pieces—representing over 760 hours of handwork—stood in sharp, sculptural contrast to the painted narratives behind them.
